I believe that is important that we continue to provide for our retired employees. I would first want to evaluate the strength and long term viability of our existing programs and work to develop long-term solutions to ensure that we can continue to offer the same benefits, sustainably. Specifically, I would work to ensure that there are open lines of communication between council and the alliance. We need to be certain that the pension is never under funded, including considerations regarding cost of living adjustments, etc.
