I care deeply about our parks and transportation and want to increase access to both for everyone. For our retired employees I believe they would see benefits from continuing to improve our programs within PARD. I would also like to work with CapMetro to improve access to transit and continue to improve our transit routes. Given the 8 areas of focus with the Age-Friendly Action Plan (Outdoor Spaces and Buildings, Transportation, Housing, Social Participation, Respect and Social Inclusion, Civic Participation and Employment, Communication and Information, and Community Support and Health Services) I would ensure implementation by continuing the current inter department collaboration and expand to include private organizations to further the mission of dignified services that pertain to aging in place.
