Integrated and economically diverse communities produce the most positive outcomes for all residents regardless of income and encourage intentional community building. It’s is my intention if elected to affirm fair housing in Austin by supporting policy that increases housing stock for lower income earners in all parts of the city. Mixed use, multi family, single family, duplexes and apartment complexes are all necessary to accommodate the needs of a growing city that clearly already struggles with segregation.
