It’s a critical solution to figuring out the first and final mile solutions for how we get people from their front door to the transit stop. Dockless mobility also gives us geographic flexibility and penetration that docked services can’t. The opportunity to meet fluctuations of demand is better served by this means. However, better rules on just exactly where the mobility device in question is left should be better fleshed out, and questions on sustainably can’t go unanswered either.
We also can’t over look the potential to harness the data from these modes that could gain us further insight into our transit questions. A regulatory frame work should be established that would encourage companies to share this data in exchange for ease of doing business.
