My knowledge and familiarity of issues and concerns specific to the local Asian American
community come by way of observation and relationships with local Asian American leaders. I
look forward to developing deeper connections and understanding of how to increase diversity
and inclusion with all people. As an African American woman in Texas I entirely understand the
issues people of color face in our city and look forward to continuing to make Austin a city that
adheres to our spoken values.
