A recent poll showed that the majority of Austin residents believe that we need to proactively plan for growth. What was your position on the current land use code. And what process would you support going forward to revise the land development code? Please explain your position

City Council, District 1

The Land Development Code needs significant changes to address the lack of density along our corridors
and the lack of alignment with the Imagine Austin Plan. First and foremost I would like to see council set
specific goals for restarting the process that are also based on the Code Diagnosis presented in 2014.
From there we should correct and improve the code as the starting point, followed by aligning every
section with the overall goals of the city.
