This is an interesting concept that may help increase voter participation. I would want to examine this
further and vet it with a thorough public process. Additionally there would need to be a comprehensive
voter outreach effort that included public/private voter information efforts, a system to mitigate
impediments to participation (voter identification, transportation, childcare) and a serious discussion
about introducing civics to high school students as well as opportunities to participate directly at the
municipal level especially for 19-29 year olds.
