The Texas State Legislature has made it a priority to attack Austin’s bold labor protections. Rights such as Fair
Chance Hiring and Paid Sick Days are the clear will of Austinites. I will not be silenced by threats from state
legislators. Rather, I will continue to fight for the rights of all workers, proactively pursuing better treatment and
defending attacks from the Texas Legislature through legislation and by being a loud voice.
