It’ll be important that as we continue to reduce our carbon footprint and certain dependencies that we also ensure that the rates continue to be affordable. During my time on the Resource Management Commission the lack of citizen input was remarkable. Organized, effective and accessible outreach efforts are in order on behalf of Austin Energy and the COA to increase education and provide information regarding efficient use of resources. Additionally, robust efforts towards maintenance and other programs that increase energy efficiency will be imperative.
