Health care is one of my highest priorities. Texas has the highest rate of uninsured people, and soaring medical bills are a leading cause of bankruptcy. Expanding Medicaid, as thirty-two other states have done, would bring our tax dollars back to the state allowing more people to have access to the health care they need. I would also restore funding to Planned Parenthood clinics for effective programs such as cancer screenings. Our goal must be to have healthcare provided to every man, woman and child in an efficient manner rather than having uninsured families show up in emergency rooms.
