I support a universal background check so guns purchased or traded online, at gun shows, or between two individuals still go through a check to ensure they aren’t inadvertently handed over to criminals, domestic abusers, or mentally unstable people. This would be similar to transferring title of cars. Many gun deaths occur as a result of suicide or accident, so I support measures to encourage safe storage of firearms or devices that allow  only the owner to operate. I oppose legislation that allows people to obtain or carry guns without safety training. I don’t support arming our teachers.
