My budget priorities are: 1) Fully fund public education by reviewing/expanding multiple revenue sources, as well as eliminating loopholes to ensure wealthier corporations and individuals are paying their fair share as an investment in our future; 2) expand Medicaid to ensure people are able to receive the health care they need regardless of income level, particularly women needing pre- and post-natal care and our most vulnerable populations; and 3) work on establishing an endowment-type fund for a portion of the Rainy Day Fund, so we have a true investment, rather than $12B under a mattress.
