I believe that one of the Democratic Party’s key strengths – and one which resonates strongly with me – is its belief in the power of communities. Communities draw their strength and resilience from the people within them; the more diverse the community, the greater the opportunities for the community as a whole to grow and develop as people learn from each other and complement each other’s strengths.

Ideally, the Democratic Party should live these values through its approach to governing, as well, by listening and learning to all residents in an effort to move our community forward.
