Council has passed 2 resolutions supporting an annual increase of about 2-3% for social service contracts in order to ensure that service agencies can keep up with rising costs of doing business and maintain service capacity. Would you direct the City Manager to include this annual increase in the budget for contracts meeting their performance targets? (Y/N/Explain)

Yes. I have supported those resolutions because I regard it as critical to expand our investment in social services to keep up with rising needs in our community. I support including annual increases in our social service contracts through the budget because I believe it is important for our social service providers to be able to plan ahead based on reasonable expectations of funding stability.
