I believe the city can best address the digital divide by providing awareness to those who may want to increase their personal access to technology and devices. The city can provide awareness and opportunities specifically where money can be saved by individuals wishing to obtain technology as well as where access can be achieved at little cost. Especially to help those who are seeking to enter the job market and utilize technology to assist with their job search. The city can provide support to organizations such as Austin Free-Net and the community tech network through programs to increase digital inclusion. I would like to expand the current digital inclusion program to provide additional services and support. The city can also provide updated digital assessments of the community.
