As a Democrat, I firmly believe our government should be controlled by the people, which is why Liberty is the Democratic value that speaks to me the most.  The freedom to believe what you want, choose your own friends, have your own ideas and opinions, express your ideas in public, assemble in groups, and have any lawful job or business are rights that every American should have.
