I return to the importance of a representative democracy and the voter’s right and duty to hold their elected officials
responsible for the votes they have taken. A vote of the public on the “sale, lease, or conveyance of any City-owned land
that will be used as a sports and/or entertainment stadium” opens more questions than answers for me. The city regularly buys and sells property, so I believe there should be a certain threshold to require a public vote.
