Representative, District 46
I am committed to working towards common sense solutions to gun violence, like universal background checks, increased age requirements, cooling off periods, and investments in community policing to prevent the violence before it occurs. Our existing background checks must be reinforced, to reduce the odds that a tragedy like Sutherland Springs, where the gunman purchased firearms despite a violent criminal background. Gun violence affects people of every race, gender, creed, and socioeconomic class. I believe we can form a diverse coalition to take direct action to make Texas a safer place.
