We should reward businesses who do so. After teaching for nine years, I needed a break. I went into the service industry. I worked at Bullfight for Sean Cirkiel who owns Parkside Projects. He provided insurance for everyone, including the dishwashers. As a waitress, I made the same amount of money, worked less hours, and had better health insurance than I do as an educator. I don’t know how he was able to afford it, but I do know that Bullfight closed because of the high rent. We must reward our local business owners for doing the right thing.
