Yes. My culture inculcated in me the notion of the everlasting and reincarnating spirit of all creatures, and I take these matters seriously. I don’t currently have a pet as I’m not equipped with the life schedule and home environment to appropriately care for one, but when my pets have been my family members as I know they are in all households—our city’s no-kill status is part of what makes us special and also an important part of what makes us moral.
