Council has passed 2 resolutions supporting an annual increase of about 2-3% for social service contracts in order to ensure that service agencies can keep up with rising costs of doing business and maintain service capacity. Would you direct the City Manager to include this annual increase in the budget for contracts meeting their performance targets? (Y/N/Explain)

Yes. However I’d like to direct the City (Manager) to take a more active role in monitoring need vs assets with capacity to address that need. i.e. yes, I support increasing funding and capacity for contracts meeting performance targets, but those targets REALLY need to be finely calibrated to the needs out there, and I don’t believe that need is being assessed as accurately as possible.
