Solutions to homelessness exist – they require scaling up social services and housing programs, including the pathways from shelter to housing. To date, Austin has not identified adequate funding to address this challenge. How would you work to identify the funding needed?

Public private partnerships with foundations like MSDF, Episcopal Health Foundation, St. Davids, to match local funding City/County/State/Central Health District to meet milestones driven by their public health motivated philosophies around social determinants of health. Data also shows that there are manifold returns in cost savings on these investment in reduced ER visits and healthcare costs.
