That is such a hard question!
I am at first inclined to put Ramsey Park at the top of my list, since, as my neighborhood park, it affects my daily life and provides the local community a place to come together and be active. However, the joy of this park is also a reminder of the inequitable distribution of parks as a critical service the City should be providing all across our community.
…Which leads me to instead, list Roy G. Guerrero Park as my favorite park. From a personal perspective, it provides a unique and quiet retreat with nature for contemplative strolls and wildlife viewing. More significantly, it is a tie to our city’s history and is a symbol of how the City should be geographically distributing parks. I was so proud when people came from all across the city to say “no” to usurping the beautiful land with a soccer stadium.
