Re Prop A-G: Creating and maintaining affordable housing and other municipal assets including facilities and infrastructure, is critical to the city’s future. —
Re Prop J: A comprehensive code revision, such as CodeNEXT, could potentially remake much of our city, displacing thousands of residents, and the voters of Austin deserve a voice in such a major decision, especially considering how off track the CodeNext process got. —
Re Prop K: The City Auditor’s office already has sufficient independence to conduct such evaluations. Moreover, any evaluation of the city’s efficiency must recognize that important community values, including environmental and social justice goals, are reflected in our budget.
