I support measures to restore decision-making regarding education to parents, teachers, and local education boards. I reject any involvement of the federal government in our local school systems, including funding. By doing this we can eliminate across the board standards that have turned our schools into little more than testing sites, rather than a place where students are developing skills, learning mechanism for handling challenges and disappointments, and being evaluated as individuals.
