I think the City can support the continued growth and success of Austin’t tech sector by:

• Incentivizing the creation of way more housing, both market rate and subsidized units, to support the employment boom we are having in the tech sector and mitigate the housing shortage.
• Creating more pathways to technology among our youths, particularly youth in District 1, to have access to jobs and tech careers.
• Promoting more opportunities and support for women and minority workers to gain access to tech jobs, at every level, including in management and leadership positions. This is especially important given tech hiring has usually favored limited demographics.
