Because the Democratic Party is the party that cares about people. We believe that every person–regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, age, gender identity, or sexual orientation–deserves equal rights and equal opportunities in life. We know that we are stronger as a collective, rather than as individuals. And, we know that our society is only as successful as the least fortunate among us, which is why it is important that we empower each and every resident–economically, socially and politically.
