I have been active with Austin Democratic political and community campaigns since the 1970’s. I have supported more democrats than I can count and served as Democratic State Representative for much of what is now District 5 during the 76th Legislative Session. Along with membership in numerous Democratic clubs over the years, I have fought for women’s health (and role in the democratic process) as Co- Founder of Annie’s List and on the Rape Crisis Center Board. Since 2015 I have served on the Austin City Council for District 5.
