I have supported and will continue to support efforts to improve City services and accessibility by modernizing our operations.

For instance, I voted to create the Innovation Office, which has since done tremendous work to help re-think and modernize our City programs, including efforts to improve the way services are delivered to residents experiencing homelessness and to produce digital resources that can assist residents in navigating the permitting process for common residential projects. I have also supported increasing funding for new software beyond our baseline funding, including voting in last year’s budget to provide additional funding to update Emergency Medical Services’ system for tracking and sharing patients’ medical records.

Going forward, I believe that it is important that we continue to partner with the tech sector on ways to improve City services, such as the work done through the Paper Census. I also look forward to supporting continued progress toward overhauling our City website to improve accessibility and usability by building on the excellent work done to date on the “alpha site.”
