I support looking for ways to provide our residents with jobs that pay a good wage and to help the private sector invest in our local workforce, including the tech sector. One of the major ways the City can work toward these goals is by continuing to implement the Community Workforce Master Plan, which I have supported. This plan identifies technology as a key economic driver in the Austin region and lays out strategies for continuing to work with important sectors to develop our workforce. I look forward to exploring more opportunities to implement this plan going forward. The City can also offer support to innovative tech solutions that offer benefits to residents, such as amending our ordinances to allow delivery robots to operate here, which happened as a result of a measure I sponsored.
