I’d like to see a task force or commission established, from our leading tech minds in the city, to work in conjunction with the city auditor’s office go department by department to see where we can find more efficiencies. Starting with the front end of city operations, where citizens most often interact, what could be done to make things more user friendly? As we go through departments on the back end, how could we tweak things so that we better deploy our strongest assets, our employees? I’m very excited to see where that leads and how it could make Austin a more nimble and responsive entity.
