Explain your position on U.S. immigration policy.

Joseph Kopser

21st District

Earlier this year, I visited the border to learn more about our current immigration crisis. I also sat down for a roundtable with experts from business, aid organizations, and more to hear their perspective. Our current crisis, which has been in play since long before it became national news, is due to inaction by Congress on both sides of the aisle. In the short term we need to stop ripping families apart, and in the long term we need comprehensive immigration reform that includes a path to citizenship, so we can add enough new Americans to the workforce to sustain the Texas Economic Miracle.
