I’ve received universal health care since I was 18-years old, through the U.S. Army. It’s what enabled me to start my own business, knowing that my wife and daughters would be taken care of no matter what. I believe every American deserves that opportunity. I also know we’re already paying for universal health care where it’s most expensive–in the emergency room, where we aren’t turning people away. Increasing access to affordable, portable health care is both the morally right and the economically sensible thing to do.
