Solutions to homelessness exist – they require scaling up social services and housing programs, including the pathways from shelter to housing. To date, Austin has not identified adequate funding to address this challenge. How would you work to identify the funding needed?

One of the potential ways to create funding to help with our homeless population is expanding the convention center and dedicating a portion of those funds toward assisting the homeless and the less fortunate. The explanation of the convention center can create jobs, tax revenue, and additional opportunities to bring people together in Austin. I will evaluate options to determine the best strategy to help.
