As the former Chair of the Travis County Democratic Party, I communicated with the vast majority of elected officials in Travis County. I will continue to build these relationships to bring about positive change. My collaborative vision is working toward consensus and focusing on the items we agree on while compromising on items we disagree on. While the state legislature has been hostile to the City of Austin, it is a reality that we must work with them. We must continue to advocate for our city on every level. My experience as Chair, and the relationships I developed during that time, would be invaluable should I be elected.
