I believe very strongly the death penalty should be abolished. It is barbaric and inhumane. The War on Drugs also serves as a “legal” form of the death penalty, often without the benefit of due process. The militarization of police also falls into this category. Unless we adopt a more “live and let live” mentality, we’ll continue to perpetuate the vicious cycle of violence against our fellow humans. That would be a deep tragedy.
