The national debt. We cannot leave our children and grandchildren worse off than us. At nearly $22 trillion, the national debt is not just the biggest issue in public policy, but poses a direct threat to our prosperity and national security. We’ve got to return to our constitutional duties in Washington, ensure our men and women and uniform have a clear mission (backed by Congress), the tools they need, and the care when they return… and then give states domain over most other issues, reform Social Security/Medicare so that we honor our promises and ensure they are solvent.
