My position is that I support strengthening defined-benefit pension annuities and any other mechanisms to reduce risk and ensure stability associated with retirement income for current and future COA retired employees within sustainable parameters as related to City budget.  I’d immediately begin outreach to planning staff as well initiate efforts through HR to reach out to all potentially affected retirees or employees to solicit feedback on which avenues might be most effective within the parameters of sustainability.
