As a young child I went to the Polls with my Dad and he always voted Democrat. He believed the Democratic Party was the party of the people, which included blue-collar workers, women and people of color. It was the party that stood for issues of social justice. I feel the party has strayed from social justice issues and are no longer strong advocates for the poor, working class and people of color.  I continue to vote democrat because I believe in democracy.
