Are you in favor of publishing lists of City Council members’ votes on actions taken by the council?

Steve Adler

Yes. It is important to make it easier for the public to see how the City Council voted on issues before them. I would also recommend providing links to additional relevant contextual information, such as transcripts, links to pertinent video archives from Council Meetings, and copies of the underlying resolutions and amendments – all of which exist but are not organized together as well as can be done to facilitate public perusal. That additional information would help a resident understand the scope and substance of the decisions before City Council, and in some cases, the Council Member’s rationale for their decision and not just their vote.
