First and foremost, I believe all people should be treated with dignity and respect. All people
should have access to opportunity. I believe in education and health care for everyone, and I
believe that working folks should be paid a decent wage and work in decent conditions. I believe
we should protect our environment and not exploit it. I believe we should welcome people to our
community and country, not build walls. I believe we should bring people together, not find ways
to keep them apart. I believe women should have access and be able to make their own choices
about healthcare. And with respect to all of these, I believe that government is an extension of
the people and empowers community will and can and should be a driving force for helping to
achieve these goals.
