Where should we be allowed to build multifamily apartment buildings? Should we allow it in more places in central Austin?

I have put forth what I believe should be the solution in our city — the Austin Bargain. The Austin Bargain would allow more density on and near major transit corridors while leaving the interiors of single-family neighborhoods largely untouched. The height and FAR of such developments would need to be calibrated based on how much transition zone the area agrees on. The smaller the transition zone, the greater the entitlements would need to be on the corridor.
