With all of these listed projects, and any, we must use the smarter and faster, more equitable way of building these projects, so instead of taking years, we only take weeks or months to complete. It’s all about preparation and cooperation!
Multi-Level Roadways – We should genuinely be open to the concept of separating all modes of transportation, so they exist in their own dedicated roadways, that have constant flow capabilities, and never interrupted traffic patterns, as maximize safety and fluid movement of all various modes. What this will look like is that pedestrians can walk freely, always, anywhere, without ever having risk of being hit by a car, train, bus, bike or scooter; nor will anyone have to wait for any other mode to cross an intersection or do anything. When the train has its own lanes, the autonomous busses and shuttles have the smart routes, when cars are segmented in their own roadways, and bikes are given their freedom, everyone is smooth sailing. Obviously, this seems like a highly intensive engineering project, and will require tons of creative infrastructure adjustments, and in dense areas and high traffic zones this will likely mean multi-level. We need to do this to completely eliminate congestion and achieve zero-road deaths.
Urban Rail – Obviously we need the latest sound resonance, magnetic, electric, fast and quiet, extensive and regionally connected urban rail system that makes other cities subway systems look like ancient history. Let’s maximize our outcomes here.
Autonomous Shuttles, Autonomous Vehicles, Electric Bike-Like-Things, and frankly any form of clean air transit will be possible when we expand our roadways to be dedicated, multi- faceted, and universally accommodating.
Zero-Emissions is also a key priority, and we can utilize the incentive model to drastically accelerate the adoption of new clean-air vehicles.
