I’m proud to be a Democrat because while Republicans are working to take away funding for healthcare, dismantle public education, and suppress American’s fundamental right to vote, ours is the party that is fighting to improve the lives of working families across the nation.

That’s the reason I’m a lifelong Democrat, the reason I was a National Delegate for President Barack Obama, and the reason I served as a Precinct Chair for the Travis County Democratic Party until I was elected to serve on the Austin City Council in 2014.

I have worked and volunteered on countless campaigns to get Democrats elected and will continue to do all I can to support Democratic causes.
