I’m a lifelong Democrat and it has been the Democratic Party that best matches my values. I believe every person, regardless of status, should have the opportunity to receive a quality education, healthcare, housing, access to the criminal justice system and equal pay. Our society benefits from holistic government policies that address root causes rather than just focusing on the by-products of failed policies. As a society we have moral duty to look out for those left behind and who do not know how to use their voice. We are active participants in the protection of our families, communities and environment. We also embrace the broadest definition of family.
